🔥 Carol’s Real Candle Practice: Old School Clarity
1. Identify the Need
Start by naming what’s unclear, unsettled, or in need of momentum.
2. Choose the Candle Color
Pick based on traditional color associations or personal resonance — no mystic drama, just clarity of purpose.
3. Dress the Candle
Use olive oil, applied from base to tip. No fancy oils unless you want to — this is about intention, not aesthetic.
4. Carve the Intention
Use a pin, knife, or tool to carve the actual need or phrase directly into the wax. Short and clear.
5. Write a 4-Line Rhyme
On brown paper (old-school bag paper preferred), write a rhyme to match the goal — four lines only. The rhyme matters; rhythm anchors the message in your body.
6. Setup
Place the brown paper under the candle. It becomes part of the work, not a separate element.
7. Burn the Candle Daily
You burn it for X amount of days — sometimes one long burn, sometimes short daily burns depending on the need.
8. Burn the Paper Near the End
When the candle is nearly finished, you burn the brown paper — completing the cycle and signaling release.
9. Ashes to the Wind
Dispose of the ashes outside in the wind — motion finishes the message.
Real candle work doesn't sparkle - steadies
No theatrics. No shortcuts. Just a clear desire and a steady flame .
If you are looking for magic start with intention.
If you are looking for change light the candle.
